CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making quality rough terrain forklifts since 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help all their consumers reach their goals since they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. These units are usually hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal choice for tasks which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment could rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a very versatile machinery. These units are available in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as gas, diesel or propane configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift units carry out jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work site.
Some heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers in order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is necessary prior to using boom lifts in order to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs that used to need a lot more man power to be done in a much shorter time period. These equipment have changed the material handling business and have really increased production.
