Narrow Aisle Forklift

Designed to both lift and lower loaded pallets from storage spaces that are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This model is recommended for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires that make maneuvering very easy.

The operator of this type of forklift generally stands up in a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: two in the front, and one in the back. This design enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some versions of these forklifts that come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment can pivot to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the whole equipment. The sit-down version generally has four wheels.

Numerous narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Electric-powered machines do not produce exhaust fumes and are quiet, making them the preferred choice for closed places such as retail spaces. Some lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Then again, the diesel model is not recommended for indoor use since it could produce exhaust and be quite noisy.
