Used Doosan Large Capacity Forklifts Seattle

In modern manufacturing and construction industries, the forklift is a vital tool. The businesses that utilize forklifts will understand their significance, their functional needs, and the safety issues involved in lift truck operation. Forklifts are a great investment that will increase workplace productivity and efficiency.

Significance

Forklifts are a very effective way to transport product. They are a modern way to transport goods and materials in a wide range of settings. Forklifts are utilized to transport heavy and bulky things that would otherwise need to be transported manually in smaller units.

Function

The racks of the forklift can often reach as high as 9 to 12 meters allowing for the efficient use of maximum storage capacity inside numerous retail or warehouse stores. The forks move up and down by a telescopic hydraulic cylinder on the forklift mast. Various sets of hydraulic cylinders are utilized to tilt the mast and shift it to the side, for positioning. A telescopic hydraulic cylinder is an attachment that allows an even higher lift using a hydraulic cylinder system which functions a lot similar to a telescope. Each section slides inside the other like sections of a telescope.

Features

Separate levers control the down and up, side shift and tilt. To lift the forks, the driver pulls back on the up and down lever. To lower the forks, the operator pushes the lever forward. Tilt the load back by pulling back the lever, push it forward to tilt the load forward. The side shift lever controls the right and left movement of the forks. Not like cars, forklifts steer from the back tires. This allows the forklift to turn in a really small radius. The transmission reverse and forward controls are found on the steering column.
