Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
Terex offers Genie DC and Bi-Energy machines which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For instance, in industrial situations where the equipment must travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and versatility of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Important characteristics that this combination offers is up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. In addition, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The drive and proportional controls offer the machine with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for specific tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machinery by Terex are ideal for both indoor and outdoor construction applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Furthermore, they provide grade and terrain maneuverability, supreme power and exceptional torque. The diesel engines are quiet in general also. Most models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to offer great flexibility on rough and uneven surfaces.
The 4 or 2 wheel drive models, offer the rough terrain features and high ground clearance that make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom types are available and offer extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models too.
